Google Chrome releases new update to be installed urgently against hacks

Google Chrome

The American giant has released an update to fix a security flaw that can be used by hackers to compromise victims' machines.

Google is once again calling on its users to be vigilant. For the third time since the beginning of the year, the American giant has discovered a security flaw targeting its Google Chrome browser, used by more than 3.2 billion people around the world and particularly targeted by hackers.

Named CVE-2022-1364, this vulnerability is already being exploited by attackers who can use it to arbitrarily execute code on victims' machines by taking advantage of a breach in the software's JavaScript engine. Clearly, the door opens to unwanted intrusions that can lead to the installation of malware or the exfiltration of personal data.

Users of the browser, are therefore advised to quickly install the patch deployed by Google, or to ensure that the automatic update has been applied and that they are using version 100.0.4896.127 of the program. To do this, you must go to the browser settings by clicking on the three small dots at the top right of the page and then in the Settings section and "About Chrome". On mobile, the update must be offered on the Android and Apple app stores.
